    Occupying a prominent corner at the Balmoral end of the strip, Chill is modern but classically presented in chocolate and green, with a touch of retro styling thanks to pendant lamps. Tasting plates are a good option, being somewhere between tapas and entree in size – dishes such as salt and pepper squid, and yoghurt-marinated chicken with hoisin sauce and peanuts. The wine list is diverse, with plenty of choices by the glass, and enough unusual labels to keep wine buffs happy. Mains average: $25.
