China Sea is a Chinese restaurant that serves a range of traditional and modernised Asian dishes. Food at China Sea is of good quality, chefs use fresh ingredients and presentation of the dishes is nice. China Sea has live seafood in the tank; a good place for fresh seafood. The interiors are simple, and there are both indoor and outdoor seating areas available. Service is friendly.

Nice cuisine, friendly and relaxed atmosphere, decent restaurant, enough space for parking (usually early is best). What's left not perfect rating is just the price. Though I will pay for it for quality food and service

Stanley Cheung ran the well-known China Sea in the heart of Chinatown from 1980 until two years ago when high rents forced him to downsize and relocate. Son Philip runs the kitchen, which produces dishes that are clean and, as Stanley says, are not over-endowed with fat or thickeners. Specialties include salt and pepper prawns or squid, and peking duck. Mains average: $23.
