OK, that’s it! Clarences has convinced me that I’m living in the wrong suburb.
For the past two years I’ve been watching Subiaco’s eating-out options dwindle while other strips are abuzz with vibrant eateries and cool bars. That’s why Clarences fits in so comfortably with the Beaufort St vibe. The business brains behind this new venue are well connected with Cantina and The Manor in Leederville. The team knows what works and so does head chef James Kalas, whose aim is to offer Mediterranean-inspired dishes such as chicken liver parfait ($15), pan-roasted scallops ($18) and oven-glazed pork belly ($16.50) to fang on while enjoying a tipple.
