ISF Calibration Adelaide. LCD, Plasma & Projector Calibration

What is ISF Calibration?

The picture quality of a display (Plasma, LCD or Projector) is heavily influenced by:

o The viewing environment, particularly ambient light levels.

o The equipment connected to the display (e.g. DVD or bluray player).

ISF calibration will optimise your display for your viewing environment, to achieve the best possible picture quality. Having your display professionally calibrated, at a minimum ensures:

o It is optimised to provide the best possible contrast ratio

o The grayscale is calibrated to bring it as close as possible to the D65 standard

o Colour balance and colour decoding are correct.

o You are able to enjoy the full resolution the display is capable of providing.

o Connected equipment is working in harmony with the display.

o Any settings that may be standing between you and the original image are disabled.

The Calibration Process

Calibration is undertaken by an Image and Science Foundation (ISF) certified calibrator and includes:

o Adjusting the Brightness and Contrast controls.
o Adjusting the Sharpness control.
o Adjusting the Colour and Hue controls.
o Adjusting the Colour Temperature, Grayscale and Gamma controls.
o Adjusting the Colour Management System.
o Disabling any settings that adversely affect the picture quality.
o Display evaluation.
o Providing a pre and post calibration report.
