We had purchased from the Colonel's Fish and Chicken Shop before and were disappointed but decided to give them a 2nd chance. We were still disappointed and wont be going back. We got the wrong order and had to go back to have it fixed meaning that half of us had cold food and half had hot food. The hot dog had onion even though we had asked for a plain hot dog. The chips were undercooked and the burger was horrible. The meat had so much fat on it. The salads were also disappointing. The corn jack was the only nice out of the order.

  i've seen the operation in Colonels Chicken shop, and they do have a number system, so for you to get the wrong order, you would of had collected some one else's order!

  We didn't collect the wrong order either times it was ours called out.
  
  The first time half was ours and half some elses. The second time only half the order was in the bag meaning they had put the rest into someone elses bag or never made the items.
  
  Yes they have a number system like most chicken and fish shops which is a great idea but it only works if they put the right numbers in the correct bags. Having mixed numbers or missing items means they are mixing the orders up. This means we weren't the only ones with wrong orders.
  
  Doesn't matter now found an excellent chicken shop walking distance from them.

OMG! Thick cut crispy fresh chips with delicious chicken salt! the chicken is fresh and juicy. The service is friendly and fast and the store has a large parking place

We have tried every chicken shop in a 5km radius and the Colonel's is still the very best by far! Their chickens are hot and fresh, shop clean - recently renovated, and A1++ chips!! The staff are really nice too and service is quick. They have a great range of burgers, fish etc too.

A clean shop, efficient staff and an excellent product range make this the best takeaway chicken and fish shop in the southern Adelaide area. Try their fantastic salads.
