Thank you so much for the excellent job on servicing my car, the effort to overcome obstacles, the steps taken to reduce costs, and the communication on various issues associated with it. All the staff at Comet Automotive were extremely professional, friendly and helpful, a joy to do business with. A special thank you to Steve and Tracey, nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely be back for any further work required on my car. You have found another loyal customer.

Great experience for my Audi. they knew what they were talking about & I had my service and brakes done for 100's less than dealership. they offered to better dealership quote by 10%, you should go back with your quote and get a credit! my girlfriend sent me to these guys she love them!

Don't go there.
My experience was very similar to James review. Get everything in writing and in detail! They came in more expensive to the dealer! Inexperienced and full of it, with lots of excuses. What happened to customer care and satisfaction! Car still not working (50%). I too, would NOT recommend them.

Second time i went to this garage quoted $1400.00, Invoice was actually $2150.00 so not impressed, get everything in writing before agreeing to work being carried out. I tried to get an understanding as to why the bill was so different and all i got was them suggesting they had done me a favour. (Clearly not) I will not use them again or recommend to anyone, there are much better garages out there who are clear in their pricing. My advice is to avoid.

  Dropping quality in parts because you are selling your car is not supported by Comet. Sadly when this customer collected their car their objection was to the cost of the Volvo brakes replaced on their vehicle. The replacement of these brakes was a road worthy requirement and approved by the customer along with other work on the vehicle in preparation for sale. At vehicle collection they repeated their desire for: quote "cheap parts because I am getting rid of it (the volvo)"; we offered to remove the brakes and put back their original, removing the cost from the invoice. We would not be able to put inappropriate parts on their volvo and honour our warranty however the customer refused this offer. In this instance the German made Textar brake pads and rotors appropriate for this type of vehicle were supplied and fitted (including GST) for $495. This is a very competitive price and we are proud that we acted in good faith and are able to uphold the safety of our customers Volvo.

  Using cheap parts on your Volvo because you are selling the car is not something Comet supports. This customer objected to the cost of the Volvo brakes pads and rotors we changed on his vehicle, under his approval as part of the work to meet his safety certificate requirements. Upon collection of the vehicle the customer repeated how he wanted: quote "cheap parts and service because I am getting rid of it (his Volvo)". We offered to remove the new brakes and replace his original brakes thus removing the cost from the invoice, however the customer refused this offer. The brake pads and rotors used were German made Textar and were fitted for $495 (includ GST). This is a very competitive price for apt Volvo brakes and came with a warrenty we were not able to offer on the "cheap brand" the customer was insisting upon. We are confident that we acted in good faith under the customers direction and maintained the quality and safety of the customers Volvo.
