i am travelling from emerald to blackwater my mate and i passed the small communtiy hotel of comet river. that night we stayed in black water, went to the hotel on the main highway.. the alchol was undrinkable, the worst beer and rum iv ever drank... the following day we travelled to mckay and returned to blackwaterand decided not to stay in blackwater and investigate comet river the best decision we have made in some time.. the owner steve, in our opinion should be voted number 1 hostilliary owner of the year!!!
the gentelman could not do enough to make us lonley broken hearted truck drivers feel welcome.
. Being held over two days to load.steve the publican tooks us fishing, yabbying, and showed us sencire hospitallity, where we repayed him by recemmended other truck drivers to stay and by the end of two days there was twelve trucks stoped there. so i recommend if u want a good time good feed, showers, laundry etc and a top gentleman to chat with and pick up some knowledge we reccomend u to stay at the comet river hotel...and we thank the staff, and steve of the comet river hotel for ur hospitallity and will recomend u all over australia..texas and ben
