I say Comfort Inn is as good as it gets. My monthyl work trip to lakes entrance is made even more enjoyable by friendly front office staff that remember your name and what you order for dinner. Room service is always delicious.
I can only say to the previous reviewer he must have stayed on a bad day. Ive been staying at Comfort Inns across regional vic for two years and they have never missed a beat
This Inn placed misleading photos on it's webpage in order to secure bookings.
Upon reaching our room, I discovered that it was below average in size, and smelt of zinc. There were no "renovations" as per this inn's webpage, and the room was below par for a 4 Star hotel - as it claims to be.
There was hardly room to bring the luggage through the door, and the bed was small and hard. The bathroom was tiny, although they appeared to attempt to draw the attention to a shower which had 2 shower heads, as if in order to increase your opinion of it's size.
Overall, I was extremely disappointed in this inn/hotel.
I Rep for a hair supply co and work have us stay at Comfort Inn's on a monthly basis. I have never had a bad experience in my years of patronage. I can confidently say I've stayed in just about every room and have always enjoyed the experience. Rooms are Renovated (at least all of mine have been) as I recall the floods last year and the Reno works during this time. Food is excellent as I always have something that is not on the menu, and is no trouble. I have got to know the staff very well and on a first name basis (con, Sheena and Penny) and they are always courteous, friendly and professional. I would recommend Comfort Inn to any business traveller. And by the way, have never had a problem "bringing my luggage through the door.."
