    My husband loves his car and would not consider taking it anywhere else but Connolly Motors. It's a high performance vehicle and Tim and the team look after it like it was their own. I have my car (not a muscle car!) serviced there regularly and have always found the cost to be reasonable and the customer service of the highest standard. I have no hesitation in recommending Connolly Motors to all of my friends and work associates.

    I have been getting my car serviced and all mechanical repairs done by Connolly motors since 2008, as they were local at the time. During the time I haven't had the need to make any complaints towards their workmanship. When faults are found they have made the customary call to verify the fault and quote the price before beginning work. I have since moved but still go there for the reliability of their service. Thanks

    Connolly Motors has serviced and repaired our family cars for the past 8 years. We have always received friendly, efficient customer service over that time. The staff always contact us before commencing work on defects identified during routine services. We think the guys at Connolly Motors are fantastic as they have rescued us from car trouble many times, often at short notice.

    Took a work car there to be looked at due to small noise when car in 5th gear. Was told the whole gearbox had to be replaced. First quoted price for that was just over $1000 with second hand gear box. After a week, Connolly Motors mechanic phoned to say they quoted on the wrong gearbox and the new price was now over $1300 for this to be replaced.

    In the meantime, my personal car had a fault and Connolly Motors was asked to look into it. After 2 days it was finally determined that the whole gearbox and clutch will need to be replaced and it was going to cost thousands of dollars. I decided not to go ahead with the repair and demanded that they finish the first car.

    Finally after 9 days, the car was ready for pick up. On the way home, the car was shaking and making horrible noises, and the air-con did not work! It was taken back straight away for the mechanics to review and they wanted another $1000 to fix the engine mounts "that may have broken as they were old", and another $100 to look at the air-con and find out what was wrong.

    The quote for my other car that they quoted thousands of dollars to fix by wanting to replace new gearbox and clutch was overpriced and when another mechanic looked at it, it turned out to be a minor repair.

    My mother had her car serviced by them when it wouldnt start and they told her that the alternator wasn't running and it needed to be replaced. A few months later, the car wouldn't start and they told her that the replacemant alternator had stopped working. A few months after that, the same thing happened again.

    Eventually, I got a proper mechanic to look at it. He told me that the alternator was fine and that one of the solenoids connected to it was causing all the problems. After disconnecting the solenoid, the car had no problem starting and hasn't had any problems since.

    Needless to say, my mother won't be getting her car serviced there ever again. It turns out we're not the only ones who've had problems with them as there are quite a few people who have made complaints about them.

    I can't comment on their Mechanical servicing, as I have not had my car serviced there.
    However, I have had a couple of experiences with them regarding their Roadworthy Safety Certificates.
    In 2007, we bought a car with a RWC, that had been given by Connolly Motors...It was passed despite having weak bushes, and having no aircon dash vents etc.
    Connolly motors actually passed this car twice (once in 2006, and once in 2007)
    So, 4 years later, we needed to sell the car.
    I decided to take it to Connolly Motors, to see if they would fail anything that had been passed 4 years ago, and low and behold they did.
    In fact, their list had 14 'fails' on it, including "window washers weak" (but still 'working'!), "all dash vents missing"and "weak bushes" etc.,
    totaling over $2000 worth of work that would need to be done before they'd pass it.
    The car is 12 years old, with almost 250,000kms on it.
    It is in fantastic condition, considering it's age and mileage.
    Moral of the story? Unless you have a near new car, I'd recommend going elsewhere for a Road Worthy Certificate.

    Had our car serviced there and asked for a couple of things to be done. A minunderstanding had the mechanic ring me advising that these things did in fact need to be done and asking weather or not to proceed.

    This was good as he was honest about what needed to be done and didn't just proceed to do extra work beyond a service with out checking with the customer first. Further to this, I explained I wanted the work done straight up and not just advice on condition - even though it was now late in the day he got two people working on the car immediately to complete the work so the car was still ready for pick up that same day.

    Pricing was good as well.

      I have been a customer of Conolly Motors for approximately 4yrs and never had a problem until the head mahanic left. Now it seems like they are to busy to deal with thier old regulars. They needs to bring back the old style of customer service back before old customers like myself go elsewhere.
