Food here is great. Since redecoration it actually looks nice too. On friday and saturday nights it can get pretty rowdy. However since the implementation of fingerprint scanners that has also dropped off. a year ago this would have gotten a 1 or 2 but they did a great job fixing it up and the beer garden is awesome for a couple chilled ones with mates.

Came here many times and came her recently for some lunch. The schnitzel was yum! My friend ordered the salt and pepper squid which were OK, but I would come back here again. It's affordable and relaxing when all the drunks aren't there.

Always great for a few beers on a sunny weekend afternoon! If you can get there early enough to get a table, the beer garden is outstanding! So many people who are just there for a great day and there's plenty of shade to keep you cool! Not to mention the view across the road to one of Sydney's finest beaches!

Beers are reasonably priced and a great way to keep cool if it's hot. But be careful, everyone else has the same idea... drink to keep cool and worry about the consequences later.
Thats why I suggest you get get in early, enjoy yourself, have a few beers but get out mid-afternoon before things start to go downhill.
I've seen some very serious fights at "the Bay" and although everyone is nice enough when they get there, some people aren't so nice when they're getting thrown out by security!

Go for a beer or two. Just don't get carried away!

What can i say about the bay. It has had a bad reputation for years now but it has come back to the good old days. The beer garden is going off and the front room has all the golden oldies so you cant go wrong at the bay.

Not a bad drinking joint. The place usually gets packed out on weekends. Personally I prefer a quieter place to have a drink. The food isn't too bad however the servings tend to be on the smaller side. Generally a decent place for a night out in coogee if you're around the area.

This place is really convenient and right across from the beach. You have to order food at one end and order your drinks at another end - that's the only downfall and why it's not 5 stars. Other than that, the food is fresh and there is even an lcd monitor that shows what's happening in the kitchen..kinda cool!

Good little beaches spot, but sometimes a little rough for my liking!

Great little place for a bite to eat. I can't wait for the new face lift to see what it will be like. I loved going here after a day at the beach or to grab a quick lunch. It is in the perfect location and the staff are very friendly. I would definitely recommend.

I think this is a great spot to go to after a day on the beach! You can relax in the beer garden and get the last bits of the sun. This place is getting a much worse press than is true. It is a great place to bring you mates for a night out. I would definitely go again.

Situtated directly across the road from Coogee Beach, i found the accommodation very roomy and quiet. The hotel is situated close to bus transport and a quick bus trip to the city.
You can sit outside and enjoy a few beers, or wines in the outside beer garden, with meals average priced. There is also cocktail specials.
