Corporate Cooking Classes

Cooking together is a great way of spending time with someone in close
quarters. Not every one wants to play golf or go to the footy. Invite potential clients for a fun afternoon so you get to know them, and them you.

A low cost way of introducing your team to another team, with no potential
disasters (like, "lets go sailing" and you end up with a howling southerly).

If you want to see how someone follows basic instructions, give them a
recipe.

Maybe you need to find out who's worthy of a promotion or special project.
We can build a menu to suit your needs.

Staff rewards are important and the feedback we have received is always very positive. A fun day is remembered and so are the techniques we teach.

Using the gray matter. Cooking combines careful thinking and creativity.
This requires the use of both sides of their brain.

A great day out. No weather problems. A good safe option.

Have a laugh while learning. Small groups catered for. Your choice of cooking styles. Your staff will love it.

We have worked with many large corporate clients including IBM, NAB, PWC, MLC, Woolworths and Bunnings.

Did the 6 week course and learnt heaps. Now quite a bit more useful around the kitchen. I would heartily recommend the experience and the new skills gained.

I purchased a Saturday cooking class for my husband for Christmas and was luckily able to get a 2 for 1 offer, so I decided to go along too. We had a great morning learning all the techniques professional chefs use on TV eg correct knives techniques, chopping, dicing, slicing, kitchen prep and cooking skills.

It was a relaxed atmosphere and Peter is easy to understand and has some great insights. We chose Mexican and loved the traditional flavours and techniques and want to do an Asian course next. This is a great course for beginners to intermediaries, and it's nice to have a glass of wine while cooking.

In Zimbabwe, my birth country, when it came to the roles of a man and a woman in a relationship, the office was for men and the kitchen was for women.

It was unheard of that a man would ever do the cooking, no matter what.

Things were a bit different at home: my mother was the one in the office while my dad was the one doing the cooking - and people noticed, with some commenting that the way my parents ran their household was strange.

It's not so strange in Australia, and the increasing popularity of cooking shows and cookbooks has many men headed to the kitchen. Male cooking has become a lucrative business.

In popular culture, there are more famous male chefs on TV now than women, and businesses are making the most of the current trend.

Spreets Sydney, recently announced that it too had joined the 'blokes cooking' market, launching cooking classes dedicated to turning men, long relegated to the domain of the barbecue, into chefs.

Like most women, I enjoy seeing men cooking but I always fear the end result; will the roast be chewy, will the biscuits be rock hard, will the meat be burnt, will there be too much salt and, above all - will they burn the kitchen down or put metal in the microwave?

As a woman, it reassures me that the Cooking for Blokes classes can ensure my kitchen is safe and the food on my table edible.

However, as I have come to find out, just because I am a woman doesn't mean I know how to cook, and the Cooking for Blokes classes have taken note and encourage culinary-challenged women to join in on the classes.

And for those who aren't really into cooking but can't bear hearing their woman nag about how they never help around the kitchen, the Cooking for Blokes classes are a great place to meet new people who are in the same boat, so you might learn a thing or two and perhaps trade horror stories from the kitchen.

As for you ladies, maybe instead of buying them another game console, you can send them to these classes instead so that your man can't make the excuse of "I don't know how to cook that", anymore.
