    ***here's another REAL REVIEW ******* I will never take my car to COX AUTOMOTIVE AGAIN! I was charged for major service and parts which they did not perform. I recently took my car in for a service. They continued to find things 'wrong' with my car, and end result was that I spent over $1,500 on parts & service but my car was in worse shape than it was before I took it in! I RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE WHO VALUES THEIR TIME & MONEY AND EXPECTS TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT SHOULD AVOID THIS COMPANY! Thanks Cox automotive for NOT asking for permission to advertise your business with your logo stickers on my rear window!

      Can I make a suggestion, should you ever have any issues or complaints about our service perhaps come and speak with us about it before posting it all over the internet? That way we can sort it out and try and make you happy before you try and destroy our good reputation.
      There is a reason why we have been around for over 30 years, we provide excellent customer service and make sure our customers are happy. If you are unhappy with something we did, please feel free to call the office and discuss it with myself and we can make sure no one is uncertain and unhappy.

    Just got my bill for a major service on my audi timming belt water pump, It was well under half of what i got quated at audi melbourne, Very happy with the service, they even cleaned my car for me, Will be telling all my friends,

    BEWARE!! Unlike some other recent reviews here's a REAL REVIEW - Been going to Cox for yrs - now will be servicing car myself! Charged $900 for 90k on 2 yr car/ queried/ told was MAJOR service - been there quite a few times so trusted them. Once received invoice all items were "included" asked for itemised invoice-told company policy not to provide & price is fair (this is despite previous invoices being itemised to a degree). After pulling car apart found filter NOT REPLACED EVER/coolant at min level/charged 8lt of brake fluid but only .5 needed!!!! component of car was hanging from bottom which was not picked up/diagnostic computer cover covered in soot - NO FINGERPRINTS=not opened / had inspected wipes on invoice but wipers needed to be replaced which was not picked up. They said they bled the brakes however the wheels where not removed?!? Said it takes 4 hours when car manufacturer recommends only 3. Have not checked other parts BUT SHOULD NOT HAVE TO!! Hate to think what else they have not done over the years and the risk I've been putting my children in!! Brought above to their attention - got partial refund -

      My name is Ashley Cox, I am the owner of Cox Automotive Repairs. We have recently had a negative review about our company and I thought I would get on here and explain myself.
      We have been in operation for over 30 years, and our main focus is our client satisfaction and our ability to explain to our clients works carried out on their vehicle.
      However in this case we made a mistake on Melbornit's car. We have been in contact with them since their last post and have offered our apologies and have tried to rectify the issue.
      We pride ourselves on our customer service - so in order to make this client happy we have offered a full refund. I would like to state that this refund has been offered on principle not because the client believes work was not done. I can assure you all work stated on their invoice has been correctly carried out to the manufacturers specifications.

    MY CAR GOT PROBLEM WITH KEY, TOOK ME 3 WEEKS TIME JUST WAITING!!!!!
    AND WHAT THEY TOLD ME IS "THEY CAN'T FIXED THE PROBLEM BY THEMSELVES".
    I AM AWARED THEY MAIGHT DUN HAVE ELECTRICAL AVAILABILITY TO FIX THE PROBLEM.

    AS A RESULT, I GOT MY CAR YESTERDAY, AND THE RECEIP JUST SHOWING "$300" FOR JUST TOWING!!!!!!!! WHICH THEY HAVEN'T MENTIONED A WORD ABOUT TOWING CHARGES, THE REPROGRAM THING COST ME $500, WHICH I DUN EVEN KNOW IF IT WORTHS THE COST.

    I THINK I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE, USED TO BE VERY TRUSTFUL WHEN I HAVE MY FIRST SERVICE DONE IN THERE. BUT HAD RECENT TREAD WITH THEM, I AM TOALLY FEELING MYSELF IS RIPPED OFF!!!!!!!!!

      We kept this customer 100% in the loop, and we thought he understood when we told him that he must take his car back to the dealership.
      I think this gentleman did not understand what we meant, so we wrote everything on his invoice so he could read it also and seek help if he did not understand.

      Here, i have waited 3 months for your response, at the first month i have received no responses but a notice from the website to ask provide more details in order to maintain my comment since your company is trying to rip it off instead give me a positive response.

      Yes, you had told me the car is going to dealership, and you have mentioned the car can be started sometimes, so i assumed you will drive it to the dealer instead of towing. As because you didn't speak a word of towing. It is nothing about the understanding, it is just a irresponsible case you had carried.

      Firstly you have not waited 3 months for our response, if you see the date you posted this you will see that accusation you made is not true. It also takes a little time for our posts to get cleared from the True Local team as they want to make sure our response is adequate.
      Secondly if you're not happy with the service we provided you, we are more then happy to try and resolve issues prior to getting a post like this on the internet. We did everything in our power to tell you in the office and over the phone prior to pick up what needed to be done and you nodded your head in understanding. We never carry out work unless we speak to the client first, please do not throw around accusations that are not true. It hurts our reputation as a company.
      Lastly if you do not understand call us and we will try and resolve the issue.

    Great customer service! As a girl I'm always nervous that I am going to be taken for a ride when I take my car in for a service. They were completely professional and courteous.
