An old favourite that has the atmosphere without the attitude. Cheap and tasty tapas, an eclectic, creative crowd, great music and an open fireplace if youre lucky enough to bags it in winter. Probably best to visit mid-week before the maddening crowds.
Sorry. Hate to give bad reviews ..... but the tapas was very disappointing. I mean, don't get me wrong - prices were great - but the food was salty & low quality and uninteresting. Good prices on drinks. Good friendly vibe of patrons. Very young crowd.
We didn't really enjoy this experience - yes it's cheap and yes it's young and funky with open fire. But the food (tapas) was not, in my, opinion very good. They were far too fatty and salty. Far too noisy and busy (perhaps I'm getting old) Good prices though and appealing to Uni students.
Best Local in Sydney for a bit of a vibe and, local young things flittering about. Food is cheap and, cheerful and, the atmosphere not pretensious like some other Surry Hills establishments. Feels like you could be in a Pub in Shoreditch London. Love it!
One of the few remaining 'real' pubs in the inner city- no chrome and glass here- and the wooden floor hasn't seen polish in a while- just a great fire and lots of locals drinking cold beer. There's food too at night times that's not bad either and a little beer garden out the back.
Great cosy bar to have a few drinks before and after a game you're watching at the stadium.
One of the local faves. its got old school charm, good prices and fun people. The staff can be a bit irky though.. and if you want wine, best off going somewhere else.
