CSS employs qualified professional counsellors to deliver consistently high quality services and is the only counselling organisation in Australia to have gained international accreditation for its services.  CSS receives almost 120,000 calls each year from Australians seeking support.  

CSS has developed, through its telephone counselling services and research, a unique perspective and expertise in the areas of suicide prevention, mental illness, family and relationships, men's wellbeing and family violence.  It also works, in partnership with the business and corporate community, to help people to build awareness and resilience through a range of specialised workplace training programs.
