I stayed at Cronulla Cabins whilst visiting some friends near Cronulla over my Christmas break, and I wanted something fairly cheap, which is what I got here. I stayed in a newly refurbished cabin, which was so nicely done- fresh and bright. I really enjoyed my stay at Cronulla Cabins and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting somewhere to stay that is cheap, clean and so close to the beach. I think people should not read those horrible reviews that some people have written. What do people want for $99 per night???
The staff were lovely- there was a nice Italian man at reception, who warmly welcomed me and showed me to my cabin.
I stayed at Cronulla Cabins for a week in January and would recommend it to anyone. From the moment I arrived the staff was attentive and friendly. The cabins were kept in a very clean condition and I stayed in a cabin that had been recently renovated and was very happy with the set up. Cronulla has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and I was very pleased to be able to find accommodation in a central area that was affordable and well-presented especially during peak time.
WARNING: Beware and stay well away from infamous Cronulla Cabins!!!!

We stayed at the Cronulla Cabins once before and found them to be basic but acceptable in an emergency. The second time my wife booked in advance and the management billed her in advance for $1,600, with $400 actually taken out of our credit card account. Did not provide a receipt via email or any other way and refused when asked to provide a copy of their cancellation policy. When we cancelled the booking 6 weeks in advance, the management refused to refund the deposit, saying can only credit it to us for future use.
We had to go to the Cabins to try to resolve the matter. Finally, we were able to get the receipt, for the first time seeing the actual billing amount and the money already taken out.
The staff refused to refund the deposit and management confirmed by later email that they will not refund the deposit but only credit it against any future stays. This happened on the 13th of January, more than 2 weeks before our cancelled stay. When we said we would complain to the Dept. of Fair Trading, the management just ignored us.
I am also writing a complaint letter to Dept. of Fair Trading.
In all my years of travel, staying in anything from luxury hotels, I have never experienced such behaviour.
Beware and stay well away from them!!!!
I have stayed at a lot of caravan parks and understand that it is normal procedure not to refund a deposit. I think that it would be difficult to find a park that refunds deposits for change of mind. This is also on the websites terms and conditions. I stayed at Cronulla Cabins for a week in January and had a fantastic time.
WARNING... Cabins are squashed and I could barely get my car in the park allotted between the cabins!!...toaster didnt work...staff were very friendly though but need to be taught that you don't smoke in front of customers....floors could do with a wash, sticky and dirty....I had booked for a week and after two days due to circumstances beyond my control I had to depart early...only to discover that NO REFUNDS were given...and the management..if you could call them that was rude and intimidating to say the least...at one point slammed the door in my face....they charge different amounts not disclosing how they charge either!!.....the whole place needs to go to business school and learn business ettiquette and MANNERS...would NEVER NEVER recommend anyone staying here and particularly NOT IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION!!!....DISGUSTING TREATMENT!!!.....
We booked a school group in for a sporting event. The staff were excellent in helping us organize rooms to cater for our numbers whilst keeping the price down. Staff were friendly and professional. The rooms were clean,tidy and perfect for what we needed. I would recommend Cronulla Cabins to others and will definately use them again.
Cronulla Cabins was just what I was looking for. I came to Cronulla to visit some friends and was very happy to find that it was in a great spot for visiting Miranda Fair and looking going for walks along the beautiful beaches. I have already booked in for another stay at the end of november.
I booked a Family Deluxe cabin as a last minute option for my family for a weekend away. The staff were very helpful and reliable and were very happy to accomodate us. My family are avid Sharkies supporters and staying at Cronulla Cabins was really convinent. We will be coming back again- with more fans!
I had another great stay at Cronulla Cabins. I come to Sydney every six months to visit family and always choose to stay at Cronulla Cabins. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the cabins are clean and plenty big enough.
We booked in December for 29/03/12 to 03/04/12 and the receipt stated unit 67. When we arrived we found that cabin had been given to cuzzie bros and we were offered one right by the boom gate, looking directly at the back of the shops in front. We looked at all other units available and took unit 30, which was the best on offer AFTER the one we booked and paid the deposit for, and thats not saying much. The units - tiny, behind a petrol station and shops, bathroom tiny, the shower tap fell off, the fan noisier than the plane, and you have to walk through the bunk room to get to the bathroom. The smoke alarm was open on arrival and remained that way with no batteries in it. Bunks - not standard, very small. Tin opener fell apart, replaced by another that also fell apart. No ventilation bunk room. No play area if you've got kids, no grass, just lots of noise from petrol station and the cabins mainly seem to provide longterm housing for NZers. This is absolute disappointments and if you really need to be in the Caringbah area like we did for the weekend, stay somewhere decent at the Cronulla end and pay for a taxi to Caringbah. Scungy....
