Located along James Street in Fortitude Valley, Cru Bar and Cellar is a name instantly suggestive of sophistication and good times. Simultaneously acting as a restaurant and bar, this beautiful establishment has an interior matched by hardly any other. Warm colours, plush cushions, wood furnishings and of course, the pièce de résistance, the crystal chandelier create the ambience. 

Why not sit back and enjoy a well-cooked meal, or make an order from the extensive list of premium wines and cocktails? The cuisine is Modern Australian, so expect plenty of seafood and lamb focused mains. If you are an early riser, pop in for breakfast and order the delicious omelettes with avocados on the side. There are also share plates which are great for that romantic dinner for two. 

Cru Bar and Cellar is the perfect place for all sorts of occasions, however due to its popularity, it is best to book ahead, so you do not miss out.

Great place to go in Brisbane for lunch on a nice day. The big bay window seating is great. Food is good too. We went here for Brunch and they had some great options for food and drinks available. The service was friendly as service is Brisbane always is but also a little slow. Coffees could have been better but this is a nice place to enjoy Brisbane.

Cru Bar would have to be one of my favourite restaurants and bars in Brisbane. Located on the upmarket James St, Cru offers diners an open air modern venue with amazing drinks a dishes. I have tried a few of food offerings here and my favourite by far was the duck, it was mouth watering.
Cru is also a great Sunday sesh spot, with a fantastic list of cocktails to choose from, the mojitos are delicious, they also have a extensive range of wines.
Get there early enough and you and you and your friends can chill in the window and enjoy the sun while doing a little people watching.
All in all a great place that has to be checked out.

I love this place! Its look gorgeous, the wine is great, and the food is superb. I hold a special place in my heart for afternoon drinks with yummy spring rolls and dips. There is also a fab cocktail menu, and the waiters can be very creative when you ask them to be.

Excellent cellar. Really good looking staff. Nice place to meet up for a drink and a bit to eat on a saturday aftrernoon.

This would have to be the BEST wine bar I have been to in a long time and I live in Melbourne! Go for the Tapas menu for dinner, they are huge serves and they match the wine superbly with the food. Fabulous ambiance in a very funky strip in New farm. I'll be back!

From a perch at the marble bar, check out the well-stocked wine cellar or catch a glimpse of trendy James St for some people-watching. Enjoy a slice of sophistication and tasty cocktails either from the bar or on couches and ottomans scattered throughout the indoor-outdoor space. Dressing up is recommended: most men are in suits although the atmosphere is quite chilled. Music is subtle – you can drink and chat and still feel like you’re partying.

Since it opened four years ago, this groundbreaking establishment has become the preferred bar for many wine lovers, thanks to the seemingly endless drinks list bolstered by the attached boutique retail outlet. But Cru is also a restaurant and function venue, with Paul Hoffmann (ex Grape and consultant at Pier Nine) taking the culinary reins. The truffled sand crab custard with hollandaise and salmon pearls comes recommended with a glass of Pol Roger NV. The bar offers atmospheric drinking or dining, with an antique Baccarat chandelier and a lavish marble bar in a room that opens to reveal it as a hub of James Street activity.
