My 2001 Toyota Prado had few lights on the dash and was running rough from last 2 weeks, I had been around looking for a affordable mechanic to overcome the problems. After running around for a week and quotations, I found crusader auto motors on yellopages.

They gave me a quote which dey had matched to below average quote and rep[aired the problem in 4 days due to delay in parts.

Since then there has been no problems. I would reccommoned to my friends and family and members of the public.

I took my 2005 Toyota Yaris to Crusader Auto Motors after hearing loud and grinding noises when i applied the brake and wouldn't stop quick enough.
Within half a day, the car was inspected, quoted and repaired to my satisfaction.
The quote was appropriate to the work that had to be done and the service was very good and haven't had problems with my brakes since.
The manager and staff were extremely helpful in helping me with my predicament.
    I highly recommend Crusader Motors.

My '09 Toyota Corolla had ABS light and SRS light on, I went to few mechanics and was told it had some major problems, I was then recommended to Crusader Motors. They greeted with a smile and polite manner.

The quote provided by them was under all previous quotes and the work done was excellent. They also thoroughly cleaned my car, when I went to pick it up It was like brand new.

It has now been 2 months and no further problem. Will Recommend to everyone.

I had problems with my brakes and the air conditioning in my car.

The air-con was serviced by another garage but failed again within a month.

Crusader Auto Motors had come highly recomended. I had obtained several quotations and the quotation given by Crusader Auto Motors was well priced.

The service was very efficient and the staff very friendly. I picked up my car a few days later and had no problems since then.

I had Auto Electrical problems with my car and dropped it into Crusader Auto Motors in Riversdale Rd Hawthorn to get it fixed.

The person who served was keen to find the fault and I was relieved that they were confident they could fix it.

They called soon after to advise the following was wrong with my car:

    - New alternator = $314.60
    - New Battery required = $169.90
    - 2 x New Battery terminals required = $25.60
    - 4 Hours labour. At $88 per hour = $352

    TOTAL Charge = $862.10

I was surprised that so many things were wrong with my car. I also thought that 4 hours labour was excessive. When I asked what brand of alternator they would put in they couldn't tell me - they didn't know.

Before advising them to go ahead I rang my brother (as all little sisters do!) and he seemed sceptical especially regarding the hours of labour. I then rang a few auto electricians and had the same job quoted. All quoted less and all quoted between 1 and 1.5 hours of labour. I paid Crusader Auto Motors $100 for their time and decided to take my car elsewhere.

I have now just received a phone call from an Auto Electrician in St Georges Rd Northcote. They advised that my car Alternator is definitely playing up - however the battery and battery terminals are perfect. They also advised the job will take about an hour to fix.

    - New alternator = $310
    - 1 Hour labour. At $100 per hour = $100

    TOTAL Charge = $410

We took our car there for a roadworthy because it was close to my wife's work. My wife dropped the car off. They were very polite and gave her a lift back to work. They then rang her to say it failed on 6 items and it would cost nearly $1300 to fix. We were suspicious as we keep it regularly serviced. So we decided to pick the car up and just paid the $150 RWC fee. The "failures" were listed as...

    New windscreen and molding,
    New wiper rubber set,
    Front brake pads low,
    Rear brake pads low,
    Brake clean fluids (sic),
    Service all brake calipers,

So instead of listing failures, which is what is suppose to happen, they just listed repairs. They wanted to replace the windscreen because of a stone chip. This had been repaired previously but when we got the car back the repair had been chipped out and the hole was now full of biro ink. The wipers had been replaced 3 month earlier and were still in perfect condition. The front brake pads were low but still legal. The rear brake pads still had 60% left on them. We had the brake fluid tested at Brakes Plus and it was fine. As for "Service all brake calipers" I'm not sure why that was a RWC failure. So in the end we had to have the windscreen replaced because the previous repair had been ruined, and we replace the front pads because they had only about 15% left. We tried to book it back in for the RWC follow up inspection but they were suddenly too busy to see it. So we took it to a main dealer and it passed with flying colours.
