Peking duck is the specialty at Da Hu Chinese restaurant. There are plenty of other delicious items on the menu for those that do not like duck including many vegetarian choices. As well as Peking, Da Hu serves cuisine from Shanghai and Sichuan. It is licensed and BYO with a corkage of $1 per person.

This place is all about the Peking Duck, which is by far the best value in Melbourne. Its succulent and fantastic!! The service is fairly basic, but really friendly, despite how incredibly busy this place gets. And forget the old decor, it wont be relevant once you've had this duck.
Better off booking too, as this place is really popular. Enjoy!

Try the Peking Duck! I live in Sydney but always try and schedule a trip to Da Hu when in Melbourne. Fantastic. They bring out a little trolley to your table and prepare everything there for you, slice the duck, and for those uninitiated with Peking duck rolls - they show you how with the first one as well.

I was quite disappointed with my meal at Da Hu. The food was very bland and the meat was very fatty. The wait staff were quite nice, but did not come back to the table once the food had been served except to give us the bill - they did not see if we wanted to order any more drinks or dessert. Overall, a very disappointing meal.
