Danny’s is open everyday closing its kitchen at 3pm and reopening for dinner at 5:30pm Monday to Saturday. Sunday is open all day.with set menus.

    After talking about trying Danny's for years I finally took my wife there for dinner last Friday.
    We ordered the golden fried calamari as an entree... I was not impressed, you could tell it was packet stuff from the freezer... For a restaurant to serve that stuff is very disappointing when it is not hard for a good chef to make it from fresh squid. Plus it was $13.50 and there was only about 8 rings,absolutely outrageous! For mains I had a barramundi Cleo which was absolutely beautiful, it had a king prawn on top with hollandaise sauce and was served with chips... The prawn was a little over cooked. The wife had a snapper mornay, also served with chips and that was also very nice. The fish for both the mains was cooked beautifully and tasted very fresh. We sat outside at a wobbly table on some cery uncomfortable plastic moulded chairs overlooking the bay and the waiters were quite friendly and patient but it was a very quite night for the restaurant. They also had 2 filipino classical guitarists walking around playing some very lovely flamenco style tunes which made us feel as though we were on holiday.
    The decor of the restaurant is about 15 years outdated and the carpet inside is pretty crummy and has a bit of a fishy smell lingering around inside the place so we were glad to be seated outside. All in all it wasn't too bad,the entree was terrible but the mains were good, more like overpriced pub food to me. In fact I've had much better meals at pubs for around half the price of Danny's so I guess I don't think me and the wife will be back nor can we really recommend this place to anyone.     Last ate here as a Sunday regular after late nights working in the "cross" in the mid '80's, amazed that 2 staff remembered. Danny's is an institution, old greek family, some old waiters that have been with them for decades that dart about like programmed robots and never falter. I love this place, memories of massive get togethers decades ago probably sway my opinion but none the less, enjoyable. Food is exactly as it was then, even the menu. Danny's is an old style seafood restaurant, with excellent service, great oysters, live lobsters and an irreplaceable old world charm, sometimes not all is perfect but quality ingredients are never 2nd rate. Oh that view !!!

    Hey, bought 2 seafood platers, off deals direct & wasnt allowed to go on Thursday Fridays Saturdays they said when i rang to book in a dinner???????, had to book 6 weeks in advance for Sunday night, got the meal which was ok, but a lot of chips, very small pieces of fish, but at end of meal was hit with a $16 surcharge for sunday service, what a joke, after we werent allowed to use the voucher on other days, forget it, dont bother going there, go somewhere else for dinner.

    Great seafood situated in a great waterside location. The staff do tend to rush the service which can be a bit irritating but the food is worth it!

    We ate there tonight, very very dissapointing, very oily deep fried food comparible with your average local takeaway shop. Salmon was dry and tasteless, calamari was deep fried rings tough as leather, very little atmosphere also very cramped. Ryan

    Danny's seafood is amazing!! I have never once been disappointed with the quality of the food or the service. The crab and lobster is sensational. Obviously you pay for quality but overall great hospitality and a quality establishment.

    Wont go back......First time was ok.... a bit overdone but food was pretty ok. We were told on our next visit it was half price if we placed our order by 6pm. so we went back and ordered before 6pm. on checkout we were hit with a hefty bill. when i questioned it and asked for the manager she didnt want to know. found out that the first time we were there we were given the half price menu. found this hard to believe as we arrived after 7.30pm. so what we were actually paying the second time we expected to be alot less. I was being fair in my responce of miscommunication but to no avail. i was treated like a child and walked away totally dis-satisfied... i will not return if anything but the ridicule i received.

      Seems to be a pattern of not honouring advertised deals...I booked 4 months in advance for my anniversary using a seafood platter voucher I purchased from deals.com. We were seated at our table, ordered our platter and bottle of wine, entree etc and told them we were using a voucher. I was then humiliated by the management, when they informed us our voucher had expired! they continued on laughing and repeating over and over that it was my fault the voucher had expired. I have never been treated so rudely before, I tried to explain that I had made the reservation 4 months earlier so I had used the voucher before the expiry date. . It was bad enough that they wouldn't honour the voucher or even refund the cost (remember they received payment nearly 5 months earlier and were happy to take the money) but the manner in which I was treated was appalling.

    This is a fantastic place for a birthday party they have variouse set menues to choose from & fantastic value for money. We chose the winter special set menue & all the guests enjoyed the food & it was for a very reasonable price.We would definately come back again

    This is a favourite local seafood restaurant with exceptional deals for the Winter months. Early Bird offers for dinner at half price if you are seated and ordered by 6pm. The wine list is expensive but it is also BYO. Hard to get a cab out of the place though - so good to have a designated driver! Beautiful fresh local produce.
    My favourite would be the Barramundi and the avocado seafood for entree. The serving staff are always freindly adn professional.
