Darls café is known amongst the locals for its signature dish which is eggs Benedict. On the top of thick white bread home made Hollandaise sauce is poured over the eggs with lots of salmon. The café does not take bookings and has seating for 15 customers. If eggs are not your thing then you can indulge in cakes or choose a bruschetta or salad. The café is open for breakfast lunch and dinner.

If you want to get as far away from fast food and impersonal service as possible, this intimate little eatery could be the sanctuary you seek. Tony Lomax is chef, host and waiter in this one-man show, where he creates hearty dishes tailored to his regulars’ tastes. For breakfast, try his Turkish Delight, a twist on the usual fry-up. For dinner, succulent steak is the order of the day; ditto the house-made gnocchi and whole baked barramundi. Gourmet sandwiches are available for lunch, and there are decadent puddings and cakes in the counter display.
