Located along Durham Road in Sunshine, Derrimut Hotel has benefited from renovations which have seen it transform into an enjoyable pub and bistro experience. Whilst the front bar enables you to sit and order a quiet beer, the bistro is a good place to eat some hearty fare.

The bistro has really gone down hill!

There are new chefs who have come in with a new menu which is pricey beyond belief!

Chips have gone up $2 a bowl, $12.90 for 3 spring rolls and garlic bread is now $6!!!!

And don't even get me started on the fact they aren't giving out free bread rolls any more.

It's Sunshine not Toorak!!!!

I work just near this place and have been coming here for 6 years. I've never wait, even on a busy day more than 20 mins for my food. Today it took 35 mins and it was rubbish!

Won't be coming back

The meals used to be good but after the driest lasagne I have ever seen or tasted im not keen on going back. If you are going you can count on the parmigiana

I was there 3 weeks ago for a meal with the family. I don't live in the area, but will be going back this week for another meal with friends. It's modern and very clean, lovely to see. It's not often you find nice food and service at an affordable price for all the Family.

It's a decent establishment and good for the area. The meals aren't that flash but I have had good meals there. Unfortunately the last meal recently was so bad that I don't think I'll ever go back. The rice was stale, like it was made the day before and not stored properly and the vegies were stone cold. We waited half an hour for the meal to come, then it got sent back (to be fair, the waitress was lovely). But then we had to wait ages for a replacement and when it came, we had the rice problem. Very disappointing.
