When you first entered the place, it indeed felt like your usual Australian pubs high tables, stools, and bars like usual. But behind it was one secluded, albeit exclusive dining area with low light atmosphere owing some brightness to the sun shine coming in from the large old vintage windows at the end of the restaurant.
We were spoiled for choice by the food offerings on the menu, not because they were an exhausted list of everything Italian, but some of them are of highly curated, specialised dishes we hardly find anywhere else.
For entre, I ordered the cured trout & crabmeat salad with crisp wild rocket, and we picked it right. It was by far the most delicious salad I have ever had for a long time, and I was not overstating it.
I also ordered the angel hair pasta with chopped prawns, basil & chilli. Again, it was very delicious despite my surprise of finding the chilli quite hot for an Italian dish.
Both of the dishes that we picked had very clean taste, with each ingredient matched perfectly to create powerful dishes and I am sure this would apply to other dishes on the menu too.
The staffs were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the night.
It was such a pleasant dining experience. I will definitely be coming back for more.
