Different Drummer is a cosy, buzzing, popular cocktail and tapas bar. With trendy red lighting, interesting tapas, neat bar area, Different Drummer draws in a younger crowd. But being in the main dining district of Glebe, this is a place for everyone to visit and enjoy some interesting cocktails.

Lovely tapas bar in Glebe. The working Atari machine was a hit!! Tapas were great, with favourites being the baked Camembert and lamb skewers. Cool red lighting, good music and the gin cocktail was a winner too.
Good place for a social drink! It does get very busy very quickly, so I recommend getting here early and moving on when it gets a bit too crazy.
The service is good as long as you get ahead of the crowd. Surprisingly, the cocktails arent as varied as you might except from a place that prides itself on cocktails. I would definitely return for an early afternoon drink.
This place was one of the first small bars on the Sydney bar scene. Such a funky little bohemian bar and tapas restaurant to suit most types of people. The mixed crowd is made up of young suit-clad professionals enjoying a beer by the bar after work; alternative sneaker-wearing uni types utilising the happy hour cocktails; and middle aged Glebe-ians enjoying some Tapas and a vino. This is a great place to meet friends or wind down after a busy day. There are several different areas tucked away in this creative space with dining tables upstairs, a small covered courtyard area outside and bar-stool seats inside. The dim lighting and soft tunes make for a great atmosphere. The Moroccan lamb skewers and the goats cheese and cabbage tuscan tortilla are highlights from the tapas menu. Washed down with some happy hour cosmopolitans made by a highly-skilled bar tender. I highly recommend this brilliant bar to anyone in the the area.
Love this place! It has a very funky, relaxed atmosphere, cheerful and helpful staff, a yummy wide range of affordable tapas and excellent 2 for 1 cocktails during happy hour (hour and a half!) every day! Worth the trip from northwest Sydney into Glebe!
different drummer! exactly what every good band needs.....this place will not dissapoint..i was with a mate who resides in the local area, saw the sign, and knew that this place was made for me. Started straight away with a long island, what a night that was... the crowd is late 20's, but they accept you regardless. Bit small, but makes for an intimate environment.
nice upstairs lighting makes for a comforatable inner city GEM. highly reccommend.
Sydney needs more Different Drummer bars! Small, unique, fun and a little hidden secret. Once settled in you'll stay all night! Make sure you arrive during 2 fo 1 cocktail happy hour. The tapas food is ok but not fabulous.
One of Sydney's hidden gems. With low lighting, a funky interior and smooth tunes this little bar is a great night out. The bar staff are friendly and can whip up a great cocktail and it also has the latest license (2am) in Glebe so no having to go home at midnight.
