Diggies is located in a renovated heritage listed building and has been transformed into a modern yet stylised beachside cafe, serving great grinders coffee and some seriously yummy breakfast and lunch dishes.

Diggies has a refreshing spin on classic beach food that includes a popular Juice Bar put together carefully by talented Chef Nigel Farry, who joined the diggies team in early 2007. His passion for good food can be experienced at diggies everyday.

This summer or in autumn, winter or spring come along for Wine Tasting dinners, cocktail parties, champagne breakfasts, exhibitions, launches, weddings, corporate breakfasts and lunches, birthdays and Christmas parties.

    I stayed with some friends in Wollongong just recently and having consumed a little too much alcohol the night before we decided a big breakfast the next morning was the only way to fix things. Though a Thursday morning, the place was heaving and we were lucky that a table of people left just not long after we arrived so we didn't have to wait too long for a table in our fragile state. The wait, however, happened after we had been seated. We waited quite a while to order, then waited a good amount of time for our coffees and even longer for our food. One of our party was on a work break so time was limited. We were lucky to be served before she had to head back to work. The glasses were not overly clean and once we had finished our water it was never replaced. It seemed impossible to get anyone's attention for water or anything else. The food was quite good. We all got some variation of eggs and my friend got the big breakfast, which looked amazing and apparently was. The grainy bread was particularly nice. It is a pity that the service was so slow as the food was quite good and the location is perfect. No apology was made at any stage for wait times but there were no shortage of people waiting to dine so maybe they think that apologies aren't necessary.
