Dino's is a multi-tasker: part cafe, part wine bar and part flexible restaurant.

Wine has been causing gentle heartburn lately, and not because I drink too much of it. No, it's because some of the markups we're seeing in restaurants about town - that is, the multiple charged on the cost to the restaurants of that wine (wholesale price plus wine equalisation tax, with GST added to the final list price and paid by the diner) - have been silly. This cafe-cum-winebar-cum-bistro in Windsor has a definite European allure complete with good tunes and an affable vibe. Francisco Valles and Kristine Becker, of Hairy Canary fame, have created an unpretentious space away from the hustle and bustle with a crowd more interested in having a drink with their wine-friendly food, including the celebrated Iberico ham and the ever-so more-ish crema Catalana. Order that and get a side of friendly banter.
