    Quick to respond when we asked them to estimate for a substantial wiring job. Estimate was a bit high compared to some others and the final bill was even higher. We went with Dolphin primarily because they could start work on short notice, which they did.

    Actual quality was variable: we provided plans and were consulted in detail, but in several cases the work was done differently to how we asked and explanations for this varied from weak to outright nonsense. We weren't consulted on some issues where we probably should have been. Most times they showed up when expected, but sometimes they didn't and did not call to let us know they had cancelled, or arrived without warning.

    Some workmanship was excellent, other work was quite sloppy. A few minor issues were rectified on complaint, but the fitting of the wrong type of down-lighters - a major issue - was not resolved by Dolphin. Ultimately, the quality of the final result did not match the price and they were very reluctant to fix their mistakes - if they had been more helpful about his we would have been much happier.
