    When I first started learning to drive I had tried out a couple different driving schools but Double D stands head and shoulders above the rest. David is a courteous, reliable, punctual, and patient instructor. What I really liked though was his professional attitude and self-presentation. Yes, he has a great sense of humour, but driving isn't a joke and mistakes shouldn't be taken so cavalierly. To ensure I was best prepared, every lesson was different. Different situations, different maneuvers, and this was a great change from the frustrating hours spent cruising around the same block three lessons in a row as I had with another school. Unlike some driving schools, David was always supportive of (and cared more about) my growth as a driver and not setting an 'x' amount of lessons like previous instructors had.

    When I went for my license even though I was nervous (classic exam nerves... David once again was very supportive and gave me a pep talk before hand) I knew that as long as I did what we had practiced, I'd be fine, and I was! I swear that because he always consistent and said the same things every lesson, I could hear his voice during my test telling me to go slower, gear down, shoulder check etc. Repetition works!

    Double D Driving School is a great driving school at an affordable price. (Even for me, a 21 year old uni student.) I highly recommend David Dancey to any driver, whether you're just starting to learn or are looking to really smooth any rough edges out before your test.

    I am 29 years old, have always been a nervous, hesitant driver and have just recently obtained my driving licence, passing the test first go, all thanks to David from Double D Driving. Having held my learners permit for close to 12 years, I have dealt with several instructors. I would always book a lesson and continue this for 2 or 3 more, however I never really found that their teaching methods suited me or it was just a repetitive lesson of driving me to or from work with no real driving skills involved. In my first lesson with David, he asked me exactly what I wanted to gain from my lessons and what I felt my problem areas were. David has excellent people skills and a great sense of humour, allowing you to be comfortable and relaxed whilst driving. Through lessons with David, he allowed me to improve my driving skills to the point that I was able to pass my test first go, and now that I can drive, I feel that I am a responsible and safe driver with a lot more confidence in my abilities. Great rates, great instructor, great results.

    Let me just begin by saying.. I don't usually write reviews. But I am SOO happy with the results that Double D Driving School have given me that I just had to share!
    I'm a 19 year old uni student, and I had recently contacted David for driving lessons leading up to my practical driving test, and I must say that after having my L's for more than 2 years, and not driving with an accredited driving trainer for a verryyy long time, I was really starting to doubt my driving ability!
    I have had lessons with other driving schools, however was not completely satisfied with the service.
    David on the other hand was reliable, and easy to get along with. He let me go at my own pace, was able to have a laugh (he is very friendly!), and told me all I needed to know for the all important test!
    Today I had my first ever test at Wynnum, and PASSED!!! I must credit David for all the confidence and support he had given me in the lead up.
    Double D Driving School is truly fantastic! You will not be disappointed.

    I first got a Learner's licence in 1999. In the decade between then and meeting David from Double D Driving School I have not met a single person brave enough to get into a car with me more than once. He deserves a medal.

    I started lessons completely terrified of everything to do with driving, but David has a great sense of humour and was kind enough to remind me when to breathe for the first five lessons or so until I realised I could drive and breathe at the same time. :) He's really supportive, very kind and patient, and is experienced enough to be able to pre-empt all of my bigger mistakes--fixing them before anything went wrong with his dual controls. He's also never been late for a lesson, nor shortchanged me on lesson time.

    The other excellent thing about the school is that it's always the same instructor, so you can build a rapport and not have to waste half your lesson letting somebody else know where you're up to with your lessons.

    He's super, and I've already recommended him to those of my friends who can't drive yet.
