Just tried the chinese buffet the food was drier than the desert. Chicken was unpalatable

I went here for my birthday, I should have known that an all you can eat Chinese buffet for $17.90 per person on a Sunday night was too good to be true. I went there with my girlfriend and the food was horrible, service was horrible and their idea of live music in the description is laughable because the only live entertainment we saw was a TV with the volume turned down and B105 playing.
The place has no atmosphere and you feel awkward as soon as you sit down, you feel like you're at someone else's place moreso than a restaurant.
The en tree's; no curry in the curry puffs, lemon chicken was comprised mostly of batter about 95% of it, dim sims were battered and circular (also no steamed), their idea of dessert was obviously buying frozen desserts because the pieces of dessert were small and frozen in the middle still.
The food was barely warm, which made us scared that we were probably going to get some kind of food poisoning. At least at the other restaurant they go around with thermometers and check the food, this place you would be lucky to eat something that wasn't served 5 nights ago and continuously reheated.
This place was honestly so bad we were considering getting a refund before we ate. Honestly would have been a better idea to walk a couple of shops down and go to the other restaurant instead for an extra few dollars and a decent buffet.
The only good thing about this place was the jelly (I would be worried if they messed that up though) and the cans of softdrink (which they obviously didn't make themselves). The food served on the buffet menu isn't the same food as you get if you eat meals in or get takeaway which makes me believe they're taking people for a ride there.
We've had takeaway food from here before and it tasted not too bad, but the buffet food was definitely not the same food. Eat here at your own peril, as others have pointed out, you get what you pay for and what you pay for here isn't that much. -

agree with duddly, the worst chinese i have ever tasted and i have tried alot..i remember taking my family there, must say they were not impressed, i remember that everything kinda tasted the same and the battered food had no crunch, probably been reheated a number of times in the deep fryer as it was really oily too,,,,, perhaps left overs from previous nights, it was that bad my kids even refused to eat the chips..only good thing i can say its the price but they do say u pay for what u get. -

This would be the worst chinese i have ever had. The special fried rice was made up of dried rice with very little of anything else. The battered pork in sweet and sour sauce was disgusting, you bite into the pork and the oil just oozed out of it, I think the sweet and sour sauce must have been a jar type as it was a shocker. The duck was over cooked and i really don't think it was duck. We will never go back. The only positive thing would be they said they would deliver within 45minutes and they did and they were pleasant enough.
