The three psychologists here all provide therapy for common psychological issues (such as grief, depression, anxiety and stress management). Each psychologist also has particular areas of interest and treatment specialties. We aim to link you in with the practitioner who is most experienced in treating your particular problem.
Dr Caroline Schwerkolt is a Clinical and Health Psychologist. A key focus for her is to help people manage the psychological impact of chronic and acute health conditions. Dr Schwerkolt works on reducing problems that can accompany and contribute to illness and injury, such as chronic pain, addiction, poor sleep, eating problems, anxiety, depression and emotional reactions such as anger and grief. She also assists people to cope with terminal illness, including the impact of loss, bereavement, death and dying. Dr Schwerkolt has a particular interest in helping people to manage the experience of cancer, whether as a patient, a survivor, or carer of a cancer patient.
Dr Erin Kelly work with adults with mental health conditions, and specialises in providing focussed psychological strategies for the management of anxiety and stress, including perfectionism. Dr Kelly also specialises in helping to build self-esteem, managing grief, developing parenting skills and enhancing effective communication abilities. She also conducts intellectual assessments for adults and children.
Dana AdawayÃ¢??s key area of interest is in working with children, adolescents and young adults, and also supports adults to overcome a range of mental health conditions. She conducts therapy, undertakes assessments and provides comprehensive reporting to families as well as authorities, if requested (e.g., medico-legal reports). Dana has specialist experience in Sexual Assault counselling and trauma counselling with both children and adults. Dana has a comprehensive understanding of the issues that are important to young people and their parents/guardians.
