Dr Wafa Samen, an IVFAustralia fertility specialist, is an accredited obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 20 years specialist experience. She has a special interest in recurrent miscarriages, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and menopause and has completed her Masters in Reproductive Medicine through the University of NSW.

Dr Samen gained her initial degree in medicine in Iraq where she then specialised in obstetrics and gynaecology. After moving to Australia she continued her training in this field at The Mater Mothers Hospital in Brisbane and then at Liverpool Hospital, Sydney where she gained her fellowship.

Dr Samen has also trained extensively in Reproductive Medicine at Westmead and St George Hospitals. She is a fellow of the Arab Board of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and speaks fluent Arabic and Turkish.
