DRUM LESSONS - All ages and levels welcome. DISCOUNTS OFFERED FOR FULL TERMS.

Styles: From early to late forms of Jazz, Pop and Dance, Rock, Metal, Solo Snare and Latin. Many styles are taught, please inquire if you have specific needs.

Skill Level: Teaches Beginner - Advanced. Male or Female.

Suitability: Ages 5 to 95 years

Pricing: Single 1/2 hour lesson $30. Or; A 10 week term for $200         (1 lesson per week). A discount of $100.

Lessons are done from my home studio and are suited to the individual needs of students.

Aspects covered in lessons can include Theory, Technique, Performance, Improvisation, Arranging, Composition, Reading and Writing. The direction that lessons will take depend upon the students individual goals and needs.

Students do not have to learn theory to be able to play music. Instead, you can bring in an Ipod with tracks you want to learn.

When working with young children, I use a method that gives strong foundations in rhythm and key drum-set concepts. Children are challenged to do things they find hard. They learn the benefits of practice and repetition and are rewarded with musical games or trying out a new instrument in the studio.

Shane has spent 4 years at ANU�?�¢�¢?�¬�¢?�¢s School of Music.

He has been performing and recording with various Rock, Jazz, Metal, Folk and Experimental groups over the last decade.

His teaching covers Drums and Trumpet, Elements of Music Theory, Composition, Reading and Writing Music, Aural Training, Performance and Improvisation.
