    I attended a charity fundraising event recently at The Dugout Bar, which is tucked away on the underground level of The Burdekin Hotel. Although small, it was a great space and perfect for the amount of people who attended this function. Its dark features and low ceiling make this an intimate and cosy venue. Not a fan of drinks being served in plastic glasses though but I suppose its location has something to do with the need for that. I think when people hire out venues for events however, pubs should really use proper glassware. I dont know if I would suggest this bar to meet a friend at, but I do recommend it if looking for an intimate venue to hire.

    its pretty small so if you get there with a group pretty early you can have it all to yourself.

    its part of the burdekin hotel so you can just go upstairs if you had enough
