    My car Broke down on the ipswich motorway last week. I called a friend and hey gave me Durack automotive's number. Hey sorted a tow truck and waited around after 5 till i got there. After looking at the car and finding the problem hey quoted me ( cheaper then i throught ) and said my car will be ready to go the next day after 12. But after all that i could not get anyone to pick me up so instead of getting a taxi he dropped me off at home...

    Best mechanical workshop you could find. Excellent service excellent staff . I've had many a car repaired here with utmost professionalism and care . I recommend this place to anyone looking for the cheapest most reliable mechanics there are

    My fanbelt broke on my car and in turn destroyed my cars battery, Durack Automotive Services was closest and they said to me they were an RACQ registered repairer, they replaced the battery and terminals and the fan belt which cost me $245. On my way home to Springfield that evening my car suddenly had no lights and no electrics and died in the middle of the road. My husband came out and got my car home at 11pm, the battery terminals had come off, the next day I went back to Durack Automotive Services and they blamed the shoddy work on a junior worker and offered no apology, but they did solder the battery wires to make them secure. I went to the RACQ and they said they were not a registered repairer and when I phoned and asked for $50 reimbursement (an amount the RACQ had suggested was reasonable) they said no way I'm not giving you a refund but I will offer you a $130 free service. I said to them that I didnt trust their work and would not risk breaking down again, they asked me to leave if I didnt accept their offer. I was advised by my husband to go to a reputable mechanical workshop and have the work double checked. I went to Hi Tech Auto Services and the mechanic said that the wrong battery terminals had been fitted and it was a fire hazzard, so I had them changed to the correct terminals at the cost of $55. So I would like to say thank you to Durrack Automotive Services for costing me a breakdown and all the appauling service and work they did on my car and for making my car a fire hazard. My advice is to NOT go anywhere near DURACK AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES. I rate them with a ZERO star rating.
