After working in St Kilda's busy Acland St, Desirae worked alongside local artists and photographers building a portfolio displaying a natural talent in a vast array of styles from Gothic, Rockabilly, down to a child's first hair cut. Went here for the first time after reading the glowing reviews on this website... I would say the reviews were spot on. Both my mother and I had our hair and make up done for a formal event in the city. Amy did an incredible job with both our hair and Desiree with our make up... I didn't even look like me at the end of it... I kept checking myself out in the mirror all night wondering who that gorgeous beautiful woman was (not that I'm full of myself - just thought they did an amazing job). Would highly recommend them to anyone and look forward to going back again. -

I went there for hair tinting and had my eyebrows done during the wait. They have a beautician located on site now and she can do eyebrows and facials while youre there, which is handy because it makes good use of time and adds to the whole experience while youre there. They are a small salon, reasonably priced and good to have locally,doesnt get too busy and can relax; I have found the staff here friendly and the atmosphere good. -

Just moved into the area and was looking for a place to cut my hair, read the reviews on here and I wasn't disappointed. Desirae said she was going to make me look like a cross between Adam Levine and Buddy Franklin and she was bang on! Friendly staff and I love my haircut, best cut I've had in years. Thanks! -

I find the last 3 negative hard to believe. Plus I feel owner Desirae McCallum has been pin pointed out each time. She is working so hard and doing so well. Being a client for 7+ years of Desirae's never has she tried to push me into having make up done. But I've booked several times for formal events like my wedding. Plus Desirae is nothing but short of stunning in her personality and looks herself. Desirae has two beautiful French Bulldogs so who doesn't want to hear about them. I have had countless compliments on it. Her skill has meant that the style of my hair cut is still in tact with many people asking me if I have just had my hair done....two months later.

Desirae has been my hairdresser for 7 years. I have always been extremely happy with my cut and colour! Her service is professional and friendly. Her prices are fantastic! I often get asked by strangers where I get my hair done- a credit to Desirae! I cannot recommend this salon enough!

Desirae has been doing my Hair , spraytanning , waxing and on occasions Make up for 8 years. She is not only proffesional but friendly and ready to make sure that your salon experience is the best . Her experience is second to none and she always keeps abreast of current trends , styles and the latest products. In my 8 years of weekly hair appointments she has never let me down and i always receive compliments on my hair . -

i attribute the compliments i receive for my hair color to the qualified hands of the Senior Stylist Desirae at Dyed Pretty.Modern and contemporary salon, with great prices and good availability.Definitely an asset to the bayside suburbs. why spend time in a busy noisy shopping centre when you can have your hair done by professional, happy staff, with cool music,just next to the beach.. -
