I've been eating at the Eastern Sea for over 40 years. Having lived in Coogee my whole life the Eastern Sea (or Joyce's as us locals like to call it) is a Coogee institution. The decor in the restaurant has never been flash, but the good is fresh and comes out quickly and the takeaway delivery service is great!

Sunday night was always Joyce's Chinese takeaway night in my house as a kid where we used to sit around the coffee table on the floor and eat dinner while watching the wonderful world of Disney. I've passed this tradition on and now I'm doing Sunday night takeaway with my kids. We all love it.

We love the salt and pepper squid, spring rolls, the long and short soup and the omelettes. Plus you can't go past their fried rice...... no revolting peas in it!!

The food always arrives within 30 minutes from ordering, and you've gotta be happy with that!
