This was by FAR the worst Thai experience I've ever had. We were bitterly disappointed after choosing this local restaurant for a b'day dinner.

Firstly- our order was not taken for over 20 mins until I went to the counter to give it to them. Secondly we were sat with just spring rolls for an hour. The Pad Thai came out drenched in oil, leaving a pool of oil in the plate, but tasted fine.

Next came out fried rice- with cucumber? And a semblance of strange vegetables on the side? About 10 mins after followed the piece de resistance (not)- the vegetarian green curry. Green curry would seem like something that would be a staple at a thai restaurant, and pretty easy to get right- wrong. The curry was WHITE. The sauce was a mix of coconut milk and actual milk (which I realised since I am lactose-intolerant). There was ZERO flavour and not even a hint of spice or chilli. Which, after eating at countless Thai places (living in the inner west of Sydney), is a feature of green curries. So the distinct green colour and the distinct spice and flavour of the curry was completely missing. Which left some strange mix of vegetables (not sure about cauliflower, which was in all of the dishes, being a Thai staple but that's fine).

When we spoke to the restaurant, mainly about the curry, the response from the waiting staff was "This is our version of green curry" Our version?!?! I didn't know there were 'takes' on green curry when on the menu it simply states "GREEN CURRY". And then this "Our customers don't like spiciness so you have to tell us if you want it". Perhaps they don't like spiciness but do they like flavour? Did we need to tell you to make the curry taste good?

The staff at the counter was even worse : "Had you not eaten half of the curry, we could have sent you a replacement". Had they checked our table, they would have seen that the other half was on our plates. The height of rudeness after a thoroughly unsatisfactory meal all round.
