I love Elixr and have been coming to the Bondi Junction club since it opened, in fact I joined up before it opened. I sometimes enter via the Spring St entrance - but that is by choice, the Bronte Rd entrance does not make you walk through pokies etc - you go straight to the lift, so chezza try the other door. I like the classes - spin, kick boxing, power & dance as well as the yoga & pliates. I get myweights program updated every 6 months. Staff are friendly & the trainers remember you. Small & intimate with friendly clients. Trainers are interested in you & your workout unlike some of the trainers from a gym across the street that prefer to look at them selves in the mirror. The Buddhas & chimes as decor give it a most relaxed ambience.
Australias leading mind and body health clubs Beautifully decorated with Buddhas and Asian artifacts, it feels more like a day spa than a gym, located in Bondi Junction with state of the art equipment. I do my yoga, spin and Pilates classes as well as cardio there, and they have an awesome lap pool steam room! 5/5
The other 2 Elixr gyms are much more pleasant than this one. The actual facilities are great - they have 2 big pilates rooms for classes, loads of weights, lots of cardio machines, a yoga studio and a pool.
Unfortunately to get in there you have to go via the Leagues Club which is pretty down-market.. you have to show your gym ID to the leagues club desk, then go up to the gym via the pokie machines. It's a bit of a downer on a saturday morning watching all the gamblers already at it by 9am.
The classes are great but they get too full at peak times - you often have to arrive 30 minutes before a class to get a pass in, and if you miss a class because it's too full, they won't give you a pass for the next class for another 20 minutes, so a total pain.
