Elizabeth Street Medical Centre has been an established practice in Acacia Ridge for over 30 years. 
The practice is owned by Elizabeth Street Medical Centre Pty Ltd, under the directorship of Dr Bruce Chadfield. Under Dr Chadfield's direction, there is a strong emphasis on preventative care and promotion of good health. 
The Centre's gardens have been planted out with over 30 different tropical fruit trees to help promote healthy eating. Various tropical fruits are often on the front reception for patients to try.

    I am type 1 diabetic and I have been treated by Dr Bruce Chadfield and Sarah the Diabetic Educator. My health has improved and I feel a lot better in myself than I have for years. They have helped to improve my Blood Sugar levels and diet and have given more of an understanding of my diabetes. They have helped me to lose weight with their knowledge and have looked in depth into every aspect of my health. Dr Chadfield is a diabetic himself so he understands the trials and tribulations of being diabetic. I will continue my treatment at the Centre even if I move out of the area. They spend the time they need to to help you maintain a good health level. I highly recommend any diabetic to go there for treatment.

    I have been attending Elizabeth Street Medical Centre for almost 6 years. During that time, a number of doctors have come and gone. In all, the standard of health care is of a good standard. The centre earns an extra star from me due to the contribution of two outstanding doctors, namely Doctor Connor Moloney and Doctor Sue Hejim. In particular, Doctor Moloney has set a golden standard in regards to healthcare. He was genuinely interested in canvassing my commitment and sense of responsiblity for my health. Despite suffering severe depression at the time I first saw Dr Moloney, he quickly built rapport and made me feel safe and at ease. A very thorough history and genuine interest in my progress led to the first extended remission of my depression since I was 15-years-old. I am now 34. With the correct antidepressants and free counselling service, I am no longer a captive to the black dog. The centre's consulting counsellor, Elizabeth, also deserves a special mention. Liz saw me over several months and remained genuinely interested in me. She worked closely with doctor Moloney to ensure treatment was consistent. All services were bulk-billed, which was a tremendous relief, as the service would have been inaccessable to me had this not been the case. I have enormous gratitude to the professionals who managed to instill the first glimmer of hope for a ''normal'' life that I've had in years. I cannot thank you enough.

    Dr Sue Heijm is probably the best GP I have ever had. I have been going there for a few years now as it was close to work, but even though I live and work miles away now I would not go anywhere else. Highly recommended.

    Went for the first time as a semi - emergency. Sliced my shoulder and needed stitches. They were great, took me in straight away when the surgery across the street was closed for lunch. Every body i dealt with was very good especially the nurse. The ladies behind the counter were very helpful, the doctor had a good sense of humour and as I said the nurse was fantastic. Just like having my mum look after me when i was a little boy. :) Its a shame i live so far away otherwise it would be my regular GP. Definitely recommend.

    My family has been going to this centre for over 30 years, and though we have moved out of the suburb, we won't go any where else. The doctors are wonderful.
    If I had one negative, it would be that there has been occasions when we've had to wait up to 1 1/2 hrs after our appointment times.

    I have been attending this centre for a number of years now and i can honestly recommend this medical centre to all. They staff there are always friendly and willing to help. We have been seeing Dr C. Moloney recenly and the service that I have received was and is brilliant. His knowledge and friendliness is outstanding. When my kids were sick, he listened to my concerns as a mother and took into consideration my view as to that i thought was wrong. I have also seen Dr B. Chadfield and my comments in relation to his service are the similar.
    Their hours of operation are flecible which works in with us as full time working parents.
    We would highly recommend this practice and hope tha your experience is as good as ours.

    I would recommend this centre to anyone. Dr. Bruce Chadfield specialises in Diabetes and it shows. I have struggled with Type 2 Diabetes; excessive eating, weight gain and associated complaints such as mood swings, tiredness etc. Dr. Chadfield is the first Dr. I have seen who has taken the time to do some exhaustive questioning to establish what is happening; explained why. As a result of his investigation and knowledge he has sent me for tests others have not even considered and recommended and prescribed changes and medications which have totally changed my life.

    I would recommend this Centre to anyone, but particularly anyone (especially males) with Diabetes. I haven't felt this good in a long time and I have only just started.

    Bear in mind that this review is from my most recent visit. In the past I have seen other doctors who were absolutely lovely. The centre itself is great, the fact that they bulk bill is a huge plus and their receptionists are always pleasant. On my last visit though, I was seen by a doctor who appeared to have the bedside manners of an inanimate carbon rod. They couldn't raise a smile during the entire visit and they barely seemed to be listening to my answers to their question. Every question they asked, they had to ask 2 or 3 times.

    If I attend this centre again, I'll be asking specifically for a different doctor.
