This place is amazing! The cozy ambience make it feel like a home away from home, coupled with the awesome music. The food was refined yet incredibly tasty, especially the "16 hour slow-roast pork belly" and they had a great variety of exciting cocktails and wines to match !

I had high expectations for Emmilou, but walked away rather disappointed. It was a very strange experience, from start to finish. We had a table of 11 for a girl's dinner/birthday and organised for the group set menu, $50 per head.
The service, both by our waiter (who either seemed like it was his first night or that he was off with the fairies) and the bar staff was extremely poor. A bottle of wine was requested with 5 glasses, our waiter then started pouring a glass for the whole table. It took at least 20 minutes for drinks to arrive to our table, the last two bottles were actually never delivered - they had closed up the bill but hadn't informed us.
The five dishes that come as part of the tapas menu were pretty bland, zucchini flowers and croquettes - sounded nice but weren't anything to write home about. The last dish (a salad) never landed on our table.
I think if the service had been different, the experience could have been much, much better so perhaps they were just having a rough night with staffing.

Great position to be seen. Casual seating outside with a great ambience. Stop off for a lazy cocktail.

Great looking little tapas bar. Really nice funky vibe. Defiantly has a Melbourne feel to it. Mocktail was really yummy. The food was unusual and not like traditional tapas but still enjoyable very tasty and unique. Funky reggae music playing in the background sets a nice mood and atmosphere is very laid back. Really cool location and space- great for people watching.

Have walked past this place many times without going in and always wanted to check it out. I wasn't disappointed. The nice relaxing front is perfect to sit down and relax for abit while enjoying their cocktails and tapas.

Great location and cosy little place. Perfect for a snack and a drink - they do an excellent lychee an mint fizz. Recommended - and friendly service too!

Tapas and cocktails - what a superb combination to wile away a steamy Sydney afternoon. Lychee and vodka cocktail, deep fried quail egg served on a bed of sweetcorn, zucchini flowers stuffed with goats cheese, the smooth tones of a girl who had been done wrong by the one she loved and great service. A little put off by the Unisex toilets but I'm tipping they would be a lot of fun when this place is full and buzzing.

Stopped in for some cocktails this afternoon, had a great time out on the terrace! A perfectly made Mint Julep with some prosciutto, crispy zucchini flowers stuffed with truffle honey and some cracking deep fried quail eggs is not a bad way to pass the time on a Wednesday afternoon. Add in the friendly service and emmilou gets 2 thumbs up from me.
