I've been attending Enliven's group training sessions for 4 weeks now and it's been really great! Before I started I was quite hesitant to join a class, I liked the idea of doing indoor and outdoor activities which is what Enliven offers but I hadn't been to the gym in a longggg time due to work and just lack of motivation...so I thought my fitness level wouldn't allow me to keep up (and that I might get embarrassed working out with the pros!) but everyone, especially Michael, made me feel very welcome from the get go :)
I met some great new people and regardless of their current fitness level everyone was really encouraging and welcoming. It made it a lot easier to show up to class and do the hard yards when you're working out with new friends too!
My other concern was that the classes would be too big so I wouldn't get the proper attention that I needed to keep me motivated and to get the exercises right. However, Michael was really attentive and made sure that I was spot on with the exercise techniques before I'd move onto the next activity.
Every lesson is also different from the last so I never got bored of my workout. They've got a great set-up of equipment and serve you water in glasses by the sink in case you forget to bring your water bottle for your work out :)
Before Enliven I'd work from 8:30am - 5:00pm, go home, eat a big dinner full of carbs and sleep. Now I'm motivated to attend at least 2-3 a week after work and I'm making sure to eat a healthy diet (so that all my hard work doesn't go to waste!) Since they don't currently have classes on Sundays I've even taken up the new hobby of hiking to keep my fitness level up on my off-days.
