Great wine selection and tapas. However they took the best thing off the menu-the mushroom pizza! And if you sit outside you eat with the smokers practically sitting beside you. Their smoking area is way too close to the eating area. -
This place is wonderful! We sat in the bar and ordered eight different tapas. My favorites were the pork koftas on skewers with harissa aioli and lime twist and the prawn cones with chilli-lime dipping sauce. Also enjoyable were the manchego and chive croquettes with qunce paste and sweet potato and split pea bhaji fritters with yellow curry sauce. The salmon and cucumber "cannellonis" were too dilly but cleverly wrapped in nori. The beef empanadas had a nice flavor but not enough filling. And I am not sure about serving those with mango chutney. For dessert we shared the banana tatin served with mild curry pannacotta and coconut sorbet (all housemade!) The flavors of all three together were heavenly! The crust of the tatin was very tough to cut through, but the pannacotta was so ingenious.
Overall, I would certainly return and plan to bring more friends next time! Our server was the perfect blend of professional, prompt, and friendly. Deserves its hats!
