The best, no the very best pancakes in the world.

I went here with 14 other people for lunch and the food was very bland and boring and the staff did not even apologise or offer us more bread. The crispy skin duck was tough and no crispy skin in sight. Very disappointing - the best thing about this restaurant is the view - it stops you looking at the food! Will not go back nor recommend to anyone - lots of other much nicer restaurants to spend my money in. When paying this much for a main you expect perfection - this was far from it.

We went there Friday night and had the worst possible service, not only did the waitress mix up our order completely, she even had the nerve to ask us if we would still eat it without worrying about our original order. Not even so much as an apology. They rave about good service but we have had better. We spoke to the Manager on the night and didn't even get an apology, all he said was that there was nothing he could do. Adelaide is too small to be treating customers like that. I give them 12mths tops. Word of mouth is a very powerful too..

We were invited to Esca for a birthday celebration function. The food served was absolutely fantastic, drinks service was great and we had a great time. - They showed they can provide top quality food for a large number of people, so we are definitely going back for a dinner for two. Thanks for a great night out.

A fantastic place to come for breakfast - the views of the Marina are great in the morning and the eggs napoli are fab.

Esca is an intriguing case study of modern dining. Esca, a Latin word for ?eat?, arguably personifies the eternal battle between fine dining and casual.

Judged SA?s best new restaurant in the 2005 Restaurant and Catering SA industry awards, Esca aims to capture both sectors. At the marina end, Esca is relaxed modern cafe and lounge, with coffee machine and music humming while hip waiters attend with pleasant manners. It?s designed for small meals, nibbles and a drink or as a start to a major eat-fest. The coffee is a matter of pride and the breads, biscotti and torte are impressive. Lunch can be any style you imagine, done casually with focaccia and panini, or a fuller set of dishes in the casual mode or, if you want a sea view, taken in more formal settings with full napery. The menu?s predominantly Italian in style with pan-European touches and a wine list that covers all styles well. Entrees range from a delicate vitello tonnato of sliced medium rare veal topped by tuna mayonnaise and pickled vegetables to a Moreton Bay bug pasta. More traditional dishes include Kangaroo Island chicken involtini and scallop ravioli with ...
