I love this place!!! I have been going there since I moved to Newtown in 2009 and have never had a bad experience. Love the massage chairs, love the environment, and ALWAYS love the result.
Do not go here! They ruined my hair. I had long, straight hair and asked for a cut past my shoulders with layers around my face. They cut the top half of my hair in a Chicago-esque bob, with the bottom half of my hair past my shoulders. The layers aren't even blended, just two different chunky lengths. Even my friends admit it looks awful, describing it as though it's two haircuts on one head. And the worst thing is that the top layer is far too thick and short (about ear length at the back of my head) to have it fixed at a different hairdresser. I just have to grow it out. For the love of god, don't let them do the same to you.
This place is great for kids or babies - they have a play pen with toys and videos out the back, and they are very patient with small children, as well as treating older children like grown-ups, which my 8yr old daughter loved. She got such a fantastically stylish cut I'll get mine done like hers next time!
Unreliable service at this salon. I waited 6 days for an appointment only to have it cancelled on the day by the salon. This was a real inconvenience. My last visit there cost $458 and so I would expect better service than what has been offered to me.
I go here just for Bridget who does an awesome job colouring. It is a much more relaxed place than most of the others big salon franchises and they love dogs!!
Sue and her team are great, friendly hairdressers. I enjoy the massage chairs while getting my hair washed and enjoy their relaxed non-judgmental style of the place (a rarity for hairdressers on King street).
