Really nice place. Though the big attraction is the beer, youll still like it even if youre not into beer. Its friendly and accessible, very busy at lunchtimes and dinners, very popular with the younger crowd.

The selection of beers is really good (I like good beer but Im not a beer lover ). I asked for samples and was allowed shotglasses of up to four (they didnt say this I heard the manager whisper it to the bartender). The one I really loved was Hofbru Dunkel, the dark version of the original Hofbru, rather like Churchill Lager. I was very tempted by some of the wheat beers including Hoegaarden, which is brewed with coriander and orange peel. The taste of these wheat beers is usual for a beer, but you could really like them. I want to go back and try this one. Theres always a beer on special too, excellent value.
The menu is surprisingly unpretentious for this part of town - bangers and mash, fish and chips but its very good. There are some places where the food just makes you feel good, this is one of them. After eating you feel warm and comfy and cosy.

Its loud, its friendly, its not expensive, and you cant get better beer. An excellent choice for a lunch or dinner with friends. Just a short walk from the tram stop in Bourke St and only about two blocks from Parliament station. Just make sure you get there a bit ahead of the crowd to grab a good table.

Chiled vibe, great band and music, plenty of room and all the beer you can imagine what more could you ask for? I have enjoyed the fun and friendly scene at the Bier Cafe on several occasions now and I must admit I have never actually tasted a beer, but I keep heading back beacuse the staff are friendly and fast, the dancefloor is large and loud and the crowd are plain and simplly FUN. Plenty of room down strairs to enjoy some food and a catch up while enough happening up stairs to party on into the wee hours. Definently worth a visit next time you are out.

Awesome beer bar with so many european beers. Food was top notch too. Took a little while to get the food, but it was a busy day. Wasn't let down when it arrived either. Lunch was only $14 so top value. Will be heading back to try more beers soon
