Recently had lunch at Evidas Cafe, we had lunch and coffees. The service was fine, nothing really bad but nothing great either. We had a couple of foccacias for lunch, the food was presented well and they tasted great.

The Evida Cafe is ideally located on Seaview Rd Henley Beach, with ample parking alongside, and the beach shopping area across the street. The Cafe offers expansive panoramic views, with a wonderful Al fresco area on the elevated verandah accessed by french doors. Long and spacious, Evida has a modern lounge area at the entrance, then a huge tiled bar- counter, diagonally placed towards the centre of the restaurant. Large floor to ceiling curved windows on two sides give a fabulous view of the beach, pier and sea. The wall colours vary between soft olive greens, dark feature walls & natural wood, while a stairwell is concealed behind a green glass wall that features, bright modern paintings of cafe and sea scenes. Polished wooden floors are intermixed with carpeted areas, altogether modern, colourful and interesting. Large family groups are catered for as well as two and four table settings, TV viewing is available at both ends of the restaurant. Mouth watering cakes, cookies and gelati ice-creams are displayed at the counter. The menu is extensive, sophisticated and well priced. We chose for lunch, Atlantic Salad, chargrilled, topped with lemon beurrre blanc sauce, served with steamed jasmine rice & saut'eed spinach, with pine nuts, cooked to perfection.
From the special board Crab Rissotto, pan fried crab meat, spring onions, cherry tomatoes & arborio rice in a sauce, with chilli and lemon zest, a satisfying choice. The restaurant was packed, with a vibrant friendly atmosphere predominating, complimented by excellent courteous service. We finished with an excellent coffee (Coffex) smooth with a nutty after taste, finished with good coffee art. Two cakes, difficult to choose from such a selection. Excellent Cafe/Restaurant.

Highest rating possible! I had my engagement party breakfast here yesterday. I was absolutely shocked at the amount of effort that the staff of Evida put in. They were fantastic. We were a loud group of people that far overstayed our welcome, but we were treated with nothing but the biggest smiles by the staff. it was as though nothing was too much hassle for them. I will be back, again and again. Food was awesome too, and we had so many great reviews from our guests!

Why are there so many egative people in the world? This place is great.
Fantastic location with brilliant sea-views, the new appartments add to he moderness of the entire area and in no way overshadow it as another reviewer has suggested, The staff are always friendly and remember me (and my order) whenever I return, the atmosphere is very relaxed, its perfect for a business meeting, intimate lunch/dinner, or just a chillout spot on your lunchbreak or day off.
The foods great, prices are reasonable and there is nothing to fault them on.
It gets busy on hot summer days which is an indication on just how popular this place is, and bad spots dont get popular.
    Highly reccomended

Food was awful, service was appalling and we waited for over 30 minutes for 2 croissants which were cold...
I wouldn't even recommend getting water there!

Simply horrible coffee and food. And now that it's overshadowed by those ridiculous blocks of flats, it's even worse. Don't bother.

I dined at evida cafe on Sunday, the view was spectacular, welcoming staff, great breakfast specials, i had the eggs florentine, then after breakfast my friends and i sat on the comfy couch area right in front of the fire place and drank the best coffee i have ever had..... Great place to meet friends for a drink or a meal. Definently going back again....

A staff member at this cafe is terribly rude. We ate breakfast in there the other day and then ordered coffees and soft drinks and were scowled at for sitting and talking afterwards. More than half of the cafe was empty and the staff member came over and literally threw a 'reserved' sign on our table while we sat there with no explanation. Perhaps we didn't have the right look or attitude for this place? I was extremely taken aback. We were not even at a prime seat with a great view. When two extra guests joined us 30 minutes into our stay, we were told in no uncertain terms that we could not move two small tables together to accommodate six of us. This was despite, as I say, most of the cafe being empty - but there being no other unreserved large table options. This cafe is a nice setting but the food there is nothing special. This is not the first time I have experienced appalling customer service there. There are plenty other nice cafe restaurants with better food and service around the corner on Henley square. Do yourself a favour as Molly Meldrum would say, and give this a big miss.

I highly doubt this.... the staff at Evida generally only reserve prime window seats, and the bigger tables are simply 'reserved' so bigger groups can sit down, if you had asked you would probably been able to move, or maybe they had a booking for that specific table? They were very accomodating when I came in last minute with ten people on a Saturday night!

I quite liked the new interior design, it has been a few years since I had been there. The waitresses were lovely however I found the food a little greasy. However it may have just been the one dish so I wont make a bad judgement on that one experience. All in all, quite a nice place to eat at the beach.
