Collett Smart is a Sydney-based psychotherapist renowned for her work as a keynote speaker, consultant and parenting advisor. She has been working with children and their parents for almost 20 years and has had the unique opportunity of working with children with a diversity of ages and cultures, in the areas of welfare and special needs on 3 different continents.

Collett is sought as a consultant to schools and organisations, is in demand as a presenter, facilitator and trainer, and regularly sought for professional comment in the media. Collett has appeared on Channel 7's Sunrise and Today Tonight, Channel 10 News, as well as all sections of print media and radio.

Collett is a mum of 3 children, holds a Bachelor of Education degree, as well as an Honours Degree in Psychology with a specialisation in Special Needs and is currently completing her PhD. Collett is the founder and director of Family Smart and is also involved in child advocacy work.

Collett initially worked as a teacher in the main stream classroom from Preschool to High School. She then worked as a consultant in the areas of special needs and student welfare in both the public and private sectors before moving into the psychological arena in corporate and educational spheres.
