I went to FedUp a week or so ago for lunch and had nothing but an absolutely delightful time. I was surprised to see they were open over the easter weekend and didn't slack off like the rest of Ipswich. As for pricing it was amazing. For the price i paid i got more than anyone could eat. The quality of their food and their portions are amazing. The young lady who served me was all smiles.
A few weeks ago I went to Fed up Deli for a birthday lunch with a friend. Nearing the end of my meal I found two hairs in the bottom of my dip platter swirled around in the oil. I find hair in food really disgusting. I brought it to the their attention. She said sorry and gave me a pre-printed coffee voucher for a free coffee next time I am there. No discount offered from the bill or anything.
Will never get to have the free coffee as we won't be returning ever again. The food was expensive also and tasted a little stale. Not impressed at all with this food business.
Saturday 18th 2010 order a Gobbler and Pretty Pink Pig Turkish toasted sandwiches which came with a small side salad. When I just about finished my 1st half of sandwich my friend showed me his side salad when he flipped it up was yellow & old leaves so I checked my salad underneath and part of its leaves had gone past being wilted it was slimy. Bought this to the attention of staff who took it out the back anda staff member came out and stated that it was delivered this morning and it is fresh. Told them it was not fresh and went to point out the slimy part and it had been removed. I asked for 1/2 my money back and was refused. The coffee was nothing to rave about and the meal cost $36.00. Absolutely disappointed and disgusted and should have gone to Dominoes Pizzas next door.
The Deli range is amazing and both the breakfast and lunch menu is first class with evrything produced from quality ingredients and not cheap crud. Try their Club Sandwhich and you'll see what I mean. I am a regular who loves the place. Check out the range of breads they have every weekend. It's also one of two places in Ipswich that serve excellent coffee.
Best Coffee in Ipswich! Its nice and relaxing on a Sunday morning for a great breakfast and a read of the paper. The service is always good and the food is top quality.
Great coffee, Great service, Great Food, Great range of Cheese etc. I think the previous review maybe from someone with a coffee shop at the top o town, what do you think. Their coment about proper cups etc is baffling as I go to Fed Up 2 or 3 times a week and they only have the best china cups and latte is in a glass with a handle so you don't burn your fingers.
They won Qld Deli of the Year 2008 and it was a customer vote, I am proud to say I voted for them
A deli in Ipswich?! Had promise but the coffee was surprisingly bad on two separate occasions so alas would rather go to the Top o town where the coffee is a whole lot better. Nothing a short barista course for the workers there couldn't fix and maybe some proper coffee cups and glasses...
