Want to eat well, but on a budget? These grilled fresh fish and burgers are amazing value. With a lot of the menu under $10, and BYO to boot, this is a great choice for dinner before you hit the pub for trivia or catch a movie. Don’t rely on getting a table straight away in this hole-in-the-wall establishment, although ordering your food to go and eating in the park across Glebe Point Road is always a nice option, or walk just 10 minutes to the bay.

    We have friends who make the way to Glebe especially for fish on fires great fresh fish ... we count ourselves very lucky they are only around the corner. I am very surprised that someone notes bad experiences we never have any and highly recommend fish on fire, great price great food.

    You must have been pretty unlucky because this place is great. It is always busy with the same loyal customers because the food is good, the service is good and the prices are good. Give it another go mate.

    I've been there three times now and I keep asking myself why. The first time I went there it was okay, I got a fish burger. For just $5 I cannot complain. However the next time I went I got the seafood platter and although I didn't expect it to be great at just $13, I didn't expect it to be as disgusting as it turned out to be.

    The salad was rotten and old and the calamari was chewy and gross. Barely edible.

    The third time I went there, I felt like eating a burger, so I ordered the Glebe Beef burger for $5. It wasn't really beef. The salad inside it was again, rotten and not clean. Probably never washed. The chips were cold, and I mean they were really cold. They were probably cooked 4 hours earlier and had just been sitting there.

    Anyway, I'm never going there again.

    YUMMY is the only way to describe this.
    The prices are quite competitive for the location and the TASTE!

    A simple grilled fish meal is perfect for lunch and the chips are my favourite steakhouse cut.
