    After joining, I decided to cancel. But after a few weeks I get a letter in the mail from a debt collector saying I must pay for my membership. Long story short, they apparently didn't receive my cancellation call and must pay for my membership. After seeking legal representation, I didn't have a leg to stand on because I had no proof.
    So now I have to wait out a full years membership as stated in the contract.
    Which is a total of $1349.40 ( 25.95 pw )

    And to top it off, the Gym is overly small.
    Free weights area is always cramped and everyone is fighting for a machine.
    Disappointed and frustrated.
    Avoid any Fitness First by all means!!

    Only came in wanting to get an idea of what they have on offer. The guy showing us around was overly persistent in wanting us to join on the spot, they made a deal for us since we were going to join together and that there is a 14 day money back option if we changed our mind. I made sure to ask that we get a full refund if backing out, they said yes. so we agreed to try it out.

    A few complications on our end forced us to cancel the membership before we even had a chance to use it. The problem here is that they only would refund half of the joining fee due to a 'non-refundable processing fee' or something like that!!!?? This is after they insured that there is a "FULL REFUND" if cancelled within the 14 days.

    That was a full $70 each that was basically stolen from us. I also checked online after the scam was complete and it would seem that many people have fallen for this, all loosing out on this imaginary processing fee...

    This place is not much more than a scam house, I'd recommend buying a bike, some weights or any other gym. Stay away from Fitness First!!
