Wow! Came here for my birthday on $3 taco night. We had a group so we had the platters and the quality of the tortillas and the fillings has really improved. The fruit in the sangria and beer was a little dodgy and the service a little rushed. BUT another great meal.

The atmosphere is absolutely horrible for those of you under the age of thirty that may not appear to be the biggest money spenders! The door greeter indicated that the booking I
had made for 6.30 was too late to enjoy a meal as we would have to be out in an hour and 20 minutes because the next bookings were due to arrive at 8.00pm which we would need to have exited by that time! There is no feelings of welcome as they indicate they are booked out even though we had a booking AND there were 7 different tables EMPTY!!!! Don't waste your money on an expensiverestaurant!

Just got the $3 Taco Tuesday offer to go. Look, its ok but not great! The tortillas were corn and were pretty dry. the fillings were ok- definitely more Tex-Mex than authentic Mexican. The achiote pork and the chipotle chicken were better than the bean or beef. I found the manager, Tony, to be efficiently polite! NB: takeout gets a 10pc discount for all you discount kings out there!

I love Mexican food but the number of places in Sydney to get really good Mexican are few and far between. I am lucky then that not only do I have Guzman in Newtown for a quick Mexican fix but in close proximity also is this lovely little restaurant in Glebe. Indoors is lovely with an impressive bar at the back and the wall of pain which is hilarious. This place is always buzzing so its a good idea to book, in fact I dont think Ive ever seen it quiet. The atmosphere is great though, not hectic at all, just a good energy. They also have a beautiful little courtyard out the back which is lovely to spend a warm evening in. As for the food, oh so good! Not heavy at all and lots of variety. They are very generous serves though and we have nearly outdone ourselves on the warm dips before weve even started on mains. The burritos and fajitas are great, the quality of the meat is very high, the beef in particular just falls apart under your fork. In fact, I dont think Ive ever had a dish here that Ive been disappointed with. They also do great sangria and a killer margarita. A good selection of beers on offer too.

I've been here a few times and the service is always the same. Cocktails can take a little long to be served, but they are well worth the wait and a reasonable price for the size of the drinks. The food is all delicious and very generous portions so it's great value for money.
I recommend the fajitas, they come with more than your average fajitas and taste delicious.
Book well in advance as it's always booked out, especially Tuesdays for Taco and Tequila Tuesday. Great location, easy to find parking or take public transport as it's so close to Broadway shops.

Really nice consistent mexican dishes. Make sure you book a table as its gets busy and you cant just expected to rock up and get a table. Pretty fast service which means if your going to a movie later on at broadway you can be in and out pretty quickly.
Probably a little pricey but other than that you get a decent feed.

I went here with a couple of friends and we found it to be a pleasant, if unremarkable eating experience. What we liked was the friendly staff decked out in fab OTT hand-embroidered Mexican frocks, the easily shared dishes & the deep, dark & strong Mexican liquor coffees! The burritos were well presented and the tortilla hot & fresh. The side dishes were plentiful & the prawns (which we ordered as our main filling) well cooked. The restaurant has a nice ambience & the outdoor courtyard is serene but mosquito filled- thankfully repellent is readily available on each table!

I've only ever been here on $3 Taco and Tequila Tuesday and have found it to be quite nice. In fact I've been here a lot on Tuesday nights. The food is simple and yummy and the service is efficient. It's not amazing Mexican if that's what you're after, but for what it is (simple, fresh Tex-Mex) it's very good. The only downside is getting kicked out at 8pm if you have an early booking as they have two seatings for Tuesday dinner. But we just head down to San Churro for dessert! I've never been any other day, but apparently Tuesday is the best because it's such a good price!

Very disappointed with welcome host. When we arrived they were on the phone and did not acknowledge us. We went to sit down and then they shouted 'come back and wait at the desk' No please, no thank you, just plain rude! We went for the Taco Tuesdays which were good and the sauces are excellent! Might have enjoyed whole experience better if we didn't feel unwelcome!

The best is saved for last but the joys of an ancient, clever cuisine continue to elude those who serve it.

The best at the Flying Fajita Sistas comes last. A bread pudding and a hot chocolate. The pudding, piled high like a castle turret, is light and spongy, studded with pecans and woven with good spices. You can taste the French influence in the sweet bread, the Tex-Mex interpretation in the nuts and the authentic Mexican in the aromatics. The chocolate caliente is spiced, too, fragrant with vanilla and cinnamon and silky like a lady's mantilla. Our waitress tells us this drink of Theobroma cacao - "the food of the gods", as the Mayans called it - is a disc of Mexican cacao, melted and whipped to a frothy frenzy with milk. However, she can't tell us which spices are in it. Even the mysterious ways of Mexican food elude those who serve it. That's because what's usually served up with your corn chips and frijoles in Sydney is Tex-Mex, not Mexican food. The latter is an ancient and clever cuisine, sadly and constantly reproduced outside its country of origin like a movie pa...
